As a creator, it can often feel like you’re up against it when it comes to landing UGC jobs. As a UK creator, it can sometimes feel like you never even had a chance in the first place.

Let us set the record straight. There’s plenty of work to go around – if you know where to look. In our guide, we’re outlining the top places for UK based UGC content creators to find work.

From leveraging social media platforms to up and coming UGC platforms and agencies, we’ll cover various avenues to help you get on your way to earning real money.

How to find UGC jobs in 2025

While this list isn’t exhaustive, we like to think that creators can find UGC work in five different ways.

INBOUNDS

This is the holy grail for UGC creators.

Inbounds are where the brands come to you. They can find you through your social media presence, word-of-mouth or even through search if you’ve really nailed down your portfolio SEO. Ultimately, building your personal brand as a UGC creator and delighting your clients is the key to generating inbound leads.

If a brand is reaching out directly to you, it’s almost always as a result of the your visibility. This won’t happen overnight and is probably not the best way for brand new creators to try and get work. If you’ve been in the game for a while, you’ll find this happens naturally as you put yourself out there.

How to increase your inbounds:

  • Build a personal brand that positions you as the expert in your field. Become known for one thing or one nailed down aspect of your UGC that brands can only really get from you.
  • Go over and above for clients on every project. Don’t underestimate the power of connections, people talk.

OUTBOUNDS

If the brands aren’t coming to you, you’ve got to go to them.

Outbound outreach involves cold pitching and putting yourself on the radar of brands looking for UGC creators. This approach takes a whole lot of effort but can be extremely effective when done right. A cold pitch might look something like:

But, you can’t send this to every single brand stocked in Boots (yes, we’ve seen that strategy recommended!).

Instead, look for brands that are either looking for UGC creators, or have used them in the past. The easiest way to do this is via social:

META & LINKEDIN

Knowing where to find brands advertising on Meta can be the secret to unlocking brands with significantly higher budgets than what you would find elsewhere. Why? Brands can make a predictable amount from paid ads. Because of this, brands typically allocate more budget to paid media vs. organic content.

The best place to find brands running ads is the Meta Ads Library. It’s completely free, and it shows you every single ad that is running on Facebook and Instagram. You can then move to Linkedin to find decision makers at those brands.

TIKTOK

Similar to Meta, TikTok publish their ad library which allows you to see current and previous ads running on the platform. These brands should form your target list.

X (TWITTER)

You’ve almost certainly given this one a go, and you’ve almost certainly sworn off ever doing it again. X job and a little fishy. Agencies often post on behalf of brands actively seeking UGC creators using hashtags – #UGCcreator #UGCneeded #ugc #ugccreators #ugcopportunity.

Some are legit, most are not, and those that are tend to be very competitive. If I were you, I’d swerve the general posts and instead find some really reputable agency owners who often post call-outs. You can also find these on Instagram: ARAY social post Instagram stories with creator requirements almost daily.

Which brings us nicely to…

AGENCIES

While we are almost certainly biased, finding a solid UGC agency can be the answer to getting a steady stream of work in your inbox.

Agencies are the middlemen between creators and brands. The downside? They’ll take a cut of your earnings. The upside? They do a lot of the heavy lifting. Agencies already have established connections with a wide range of clients, so you increase your chances of repeat work landing in your inbox.

UGC agencies also have in-depth knowledge and experience in the UGC space. They understand client expectations, market trends, and best practices for creating impactful UGC. If you’re new to the industry, this is a great way to tap into their expertise and benefit from their guidance, feedback, and strategic direction.

Our recommendation? ARAY social.

FREELANCER NETWORKS

In the ever-evolving landscape of UGC creation, freelancer networks have emerged as go-to’s for creators to get their first few jobs. Platforms such as Fiverr and Upwork essentially connect creators with clients seeking their services. Jobs vary in quality, and tend to offer pittance as payment, but there are certainly some great clients to be found if you kiss enough frogs.

While freelancer platforms can be a goldmine for UGC creators, standing out among the competition requires strategic efforts. Here are some tips to maximise your success:

  • Perfect your profile: Create an engaging profile that highlights your UGC skills, experience, and past projects. Use SEO driven, attention-grabbing descriptions and showcase your unique value proposition. Curate your best work, think quality over quantity.
  • Set competitive rates: Set competitive rates that reflect your skill level and experience, but that are realistic to the platform. Be open to negotiation but ensure your rates align with the value you provide.
  • Communicate effectively: Communication is key, and go over to deliver high-quality work within the agreed-upon timeframe. Aim to delight your clients and guarantee that five star review.

UGC PLATFORMS

UGC platforms are online platforms or marketplaces dedicated to connecting UGC creators with brands. These platforms provide a space where brands can discover UGC creators, review their work, and hire them. Most platforms then handle payment and provide additional resources for creators. In theory, for creators, this could be a one-stop shop for work.

In reality, it’s a mixed bag, with some better than others, but these are worth signing up to and checking as part of your daily routine.

Some of the top UGC platforms for UK creators include:

Tribe

Tribe is an influencer marketing platform connecting creators with leading brands that have also expanded into UGC. Brands such as Boots and Nescafé have been spotted on the platform, offering rates that can reach up to £300 per video. While competition is high, securing a spot can be highly rewarding.

Influee

Influee is a user-generated content platform boasting a network of over 80,000 creators across 23 countries, including the UK. For those starting out, Influee offers opportunities with compensation around the £50 mark, making it a really low-paid option that is good only for getting your foot in the door.

Twirl

Twirl distinguishes itself by combining platform convenience with personalized agency services. They handle brand communication on behalf of creators, allowing you to focus solely on content creation. Pay is bang average, at around £100 per video, but the creative direction is provided and scripts are written for you, taking out some of the leg work.

Ultimately, UGC platforms are popping up all over the place and it’s very much hit and miss across the board.

Your time as a creator is limited, so choose just one or two and focus your energy on outbounds more than joining every single app. Think of these platforms as the Tinder of UGC jobs — swipe right on the ones you like, leave everyone else on read.

💭 Final thoughts

If you’re sitting around waiting for brands to slide into your DMs, you might be waiting a long time. UGC is a business — and businesses need strategy. Sure, the dream is for work to come to you, but the reality is most creators have to go out and get it. It’s about using every tool at your disposal.

By combining inbound and outbound approaches, making use of agencies and platforms, and building your network, you’ll put yourself in the best position to land paid work consistently.

Don’t be the creator who gives up because things didn’t take off in a week. Keep building, keep pitching, keep showing up. The opportunities are out there, and you’re just one solid pitch away from getting paid.

📋 TL;DR

🔍 Inbounds: Build a strong portfolio and market yourself professionally.

📧 Outbounds: Cold pitch and apply directly to brands.

🤝 Agencies: Let them do the heavy lifting (for a cut of your earnings).

💻 Platforms: Use dedicated UGC platforms to find opportunities.

🌐 Networks: Connect with other creators and brands for collaboration and jobs.
